Business Valuations are one of the most underutilized tools for business owners. It is a common belief that the only need for a business valuation is when you are preparing to sell. Although it may be the most popular, it is hardly the only reason. Legal matters, financial planning, business monitoring, financing, and tax issues are all reasons why a business owner may need to seek a business valuation. Depending on the purpose and size we offer multiple levels of reports. |
Available Valuation Service Levels:
Market analysis: Based on 3 years of financial data, industry data and a propriety computer model. Used for purposes such as setting a selling price and establishing a current market value for risk evaluation and insurance needs. This is not appropriate if documentation is needed for gifting, litigation or tax and IRS needs. Short form appraisal: Our most common valuation report and available for all size businesses. Going beyond the computer based model to uncover added factors and/or detractors of value, this will provide needed information for most business planning needs and support for creating a valuation for selling to an insider and other purposes except for documentation needed for gifting, litigation or tax and the IRS. Full appraisal: This comprehensive report is used most often by entities of greater size (from 3 to 100 million in revenue) and/or when needing documentation for gifting, litigation or tax and IRS needs. |
